A note from Jillian:

Sometimes we feel stuck, that life has become unmanageable, or that we simply will never find happiness. Please know that I understand. You can count on me to actively listen to your struggles and help you process your past and present. I believe that you are the expert on your own experience, and together, we can navigate your life in a warm, genuine, and authentic environment.

I know, firsthand, how daunting it can be to think about how to make changes that will improve your life long-term. I myself struggled with the decision to shift course after ten years of practicing law to pursue a new career as a therapist. Shedding one professional identity and embracing another was difficult, but this change enabled me to honor my innate strengths more deeply and to feel truly fulfilled in my work. It brings me so much joy to partner with my clients as they navigate life’s complexities and build a life worth living.

If you too feel it might be time for a change—in any aspect of your life—I am here to support you. Together, we can highlight your strengths, address your challenges, and create a plan that is tailored to your unique goals, experiences, and personality—with some humor along the way.

My approach:

My practice is informed by my background in evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through a CBT/DBT lens, we can explore the relationship between your thoughts, feelings, and behavior. On this journey, you can expect that I will take a practical, empathetic, and non-judgmental approach. Together, we will celebrate your strengths and allow you to tap into the best version of yourself, more easily. You can come to understand and identify the unhelpful patterns in your life, and I will be there as you choose to make adjustments that clear your path forward.

Many clients come to me with difficulties relating to anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, panic, impulse control, emotional dysregulation, and personality variables. I also address issues related to major life disruptions or transitions (e.g., career change, job loss, break-ups, divorce, grief, and loss), as well as romantic relationships, love, and dating – working with both individuals and couples.

If you are interested in learning more, I would love to connect. I encourage you to take the first step and reach out for a free consultation.
