A note from Rachel:

As a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist, my goal is to create a safe space where clients can rediscover dreams, explore barriers, and grow through life’s transitions. My training as a developmental psychologist informs how I understand people across the lifespan, but my day-to-day work is grounded in the practice of therapy — supporting children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families in finding balance and fulfillment.

I believe every person already has the courage to succeed. In therapy, I help clients internalize this truth:

You are strong. You are worthy. You deserve to enjoy your life.

With structure, support, and evidence-based tools, I guide you to not only achieve your goals but to reach your full potential.

Over the course of my career — including clinical appointments at the New York Academy of Medicine, the New York City Department of Education, and Bellevue Hospital Center’s Child Psychiatric Emergency Room — I’ve worked with clients navigating a wide range of challenges: parent-child interactions, attachment and complex trauma, family conflict, infertility and chronic illness, grief and bereavement (including pet loss), and major life transitions.

My Approach

My therapeutic approach integrates research-driven methods with compassion and collaboration. I draw on trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), solutions-focused skills, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). These tools allow me to:

  • Support Parents: Helping parents strengthen communication and connection with their children.

  • Stabilize Emotions: Treating anxiety and depression that often arise during transitions such as divorce, new parenthood, or career shifts.

  • Guide Grief Work: Supporting clients through infertility, illness, or loss.

  • Strengthen Relationships: Helping couples and families build trust, navigate differences, and foster healthier connections.
