A Note from Brittany:
Many of us try to perfectly plan our lives, weaving in personal, academic, professional, and relational accomplishments. What happens if there are unexpected path changes creating stress, hindering high expectations, or leaving us feeling stuck? Thoughts can race, intense emotions can quickly move up and down, and we can be left feeling unsure about next steps.
My draw to therapy stems from a curiosity about how individuals make meaning of their experiences and how small shifts in perspective and support can create meaningful change. I strive to help clients better understand themselves, build their confidence, and develop well-rounded approaches to different parts of their lives.
Throughout my clinical career in educational, outpatient hospital, and private practice settings, I have helped adolescents, adults, and families identify, understand, and shift thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that interfere with socioemotional and professional goals. Together, we can transform setbacks into tools for growth and clarity.
My Approach
I provide individual therapy for adolescents and adults navigating themes including anxiety, depression, life transitions, neurodiversity (ADHD, autism spectrum disorder), workplace culture, academic stress, relationships, and everyday stressors. My approach is holistic, strengths-based, and grounded in empathy. I draw from evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques to meet you where you are. I am also a certified provider of the PEERS® social skills intervention for those interested in developing and strengthening social confidence and connection.
My approach is collaborative, non-judgemental, strengths-based, parts incorporative, and neurodiversity affirming. Therapy is not about changing who you are, but about building skills that allow you to highlight who you truly are. No one person or therapeutic experience is the same. Our work together will center on your goals, your strengths, and the areas where you want to see growth. I strive to create a safe, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment where you feel supported in exploring your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while becoming empowered to move toward meaningful change.
