A note from Meryl:

Therapy doesn’t have to be heavy all the time. I believe that humor, playfulness, and honesty can be just as healing as insight or reflection. In our work together, I’ll bring my full self: thoughtful, curious, sometimes gently challenging, and always on your side.

I’ve worked with adults of all ages navigating all kinds of transitions: new jobs, breakups, parenting, grief, burnout, climate anxiety, and the long, slow work of figuring out what you want from life. You don’t need to have it all sorted out to start. We can begin wherever you are.

My Approach

I work with adults navigating a wide range of challenges—anxiety, depression, relationship issues, life transitions, climate distress, and more. Some people come to therapy with a clear sense of what they want to work on, while others come with a more general feeling that something isn’t working. Either way, therapy can be a space to explore, reflect, and move forward.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and flexible. I draw from several evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help shift unhelpful thought and behavior patterns; mindfulness practices to build awareness and reduce reactivity; psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences may be shaping your present; and parts work to better understand and support the different inner voices and needs that live within us.

Ultimately, our work will be guided by what feels most useful and meaningful to you. Therapy can be a place to slow down, to deepen self-understanding, and to make space for new ways of being.
