A Note From Laura:

Relationships can be one of the greatest sources of connection, meaning, and fulfillment in our lives, but they can also bring challenges, conflict, and periods of uncertainty. Whether you and your partner are struggling with communication, navigating a life transition, rebuilding trust, preparing for marriage, blending families, or feeling disconnected from one another, therapy can provide a space to better understand your relationship and create meaningful change.

I specialize in working with couples at all stages of their relationships, including dating, premarital partnerships, marriage, remarriage, and blended families. My approach helps partners identify unhelpful patterns, improve communication, strengthen emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of navigating conflict together. I believe that every relationship has strengths, and through therapy we can build upon those strengths to create a more secure, satisfying, and resilient partnership.

In addition to couples work, I support individuals navigating life's challenges and transitions. Using a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, we identify thoughts and beliefs that may be contributing to distress and work together to challenge patterns that no longer serve you. By building awareness, developing new coping strategies, and recognizing your existing strengths, therapy can help you move forward with greater confidence and clarity.

My professional background includes nearly a decade as an educator, where I worked closely with students, parents, and families through a variety of challenges, including academic concerns, behavioral issues, grief, health crises, divorce, remarriage, relocation, and other major life transitions. I have also provided counseling services to adolescents and adults in both college counseling and community settings.

I frequently work with clients experiencing:

  • Relationship and marital challenges

  • Premarital counseling

  • Remarriage and blended family dynamics

  • Family conflict and estrangement

  • Divorce and separation

  • Anxiety and stress management

  • Depression

  • Grief and loss

  • Low self-esteem

  • Health-related challenges

  • Difficult life transitions

  • Academic and career pressures

Whether you are seeking support as an individual or as a couple, my goal is to provide a warm, collaborative, and supportive environment where you can better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and navigate life's challenges with greater resilience. Together, we will identify your strengths, develop practical tools for growth, and work toward creating the life and relationships you want.
