A Note from Faiza:

Tensions occur daily between self and other, body and mind, knowing and doing – those rifts  that leave us isolated and dissonant. What drew me to psychotherapy is the art of supporting people in letting go of what no longer serves them and standing more fully with themselves in thought, feeling, and being.

My approach is shaped by a lifelong curiosity with narrative: how we tell the story of our becoming, and how that story can be rewritten, again and again. I hold a belief that healing does not come from avoiding pain, but from recognizing and naming it. That effort feels, to me, like the most honest form of care – the act of staying present while someone finds their way.

In my work I integrate practices that balance insight with action. Dialectical Behavior Therapy invites awareness – supporting the ongoing interplay between acceptance and change. Narrative therapy helps us explore and reframe the stories we tell ourselves, while family systems perspectives place individual experience within the wider web of relationships. Together, these approaches guide reflection, awareness, and change based on personal experiences.

My method is grounded in collaboration – supporting my clients as the experts of their lives, honoring their stories in ways that feel authentic. I look forward to hearing yours.
